APAC – Associazione Per l’Architettura della Città

APAC – Associazione Per l’Architettura della Città (codice fiscale 91029240016) is a non-profit cultural association whose aim is the knowledge and dissemination of the architectural culture. APAC will promote history and theory of architecture and urban planning as tools for the understanding and the analysis of the heritage in view of its re-use and restoration.

Our Story

APAC – Associazione Per l’Architettura della Città was founded in November 2014 by the will of a group of young architects involved in various design activities and scientific researches in the field of history and theory of architecture and urbanism.

From 2014 to 2017 APAC – Associazione Per l’Architettura della Città is involved in the scientific organization of the international architectural summer school “Sewing a small town”, in Gassino Torinese, that has become, over the years, a high-profile cultural activity capable of attracting participants, designers and intellectuals from all over the world to collectively reflect on topics related to architecture, landscape design and urban regeneration.

Our Goals

The aims of APAC – Associazione Per l’Architettura della Città are:

  • to spread architectural culture and the art of building in national and international level;
  • to expand the knowledge of the architectural culture through direct contact with people, public and private Institutions, Foundations and Associations;
  • to act as a “meeting place” where it is possible to debate on architecture, landscape and history of the city;
  • to raise public awareness toward an idea of modern and sustainable architecture as a solution for the qualitative reuse of the existing heritage;
  • to promote history and theory of architecture, construction, engineering and urban planning as tools for the knowledge and analysis of the built heritage in view of its reuse and restoration.
